A Response to a 911 Hub

I read a hub today http://jjin26.hubpages.com/hub/911-Truth, I recommend that you read that hub in order to understand this article. This will be a response to that 911 truth hub. I know that all you truthers will not even read or even take this serious, you will continue to follow the ridiculous propaganda you hear. And you want to believe it because you hate Bush so much, it had to be him.

So Could Bush have done it? Well let’s look at the planning that would have been needed to make this happen as the truthers say it did.

Bush was sworn in as president on January 20, 2001. We know the attacks occurred on September 11, 2001, less than 8 months in office or just 233 days. On average, it takes approximately 6 months to study prints, put together a plan for demolition, execute the planned setup, then the actual demolition. At 439 feet (134 m) and 2,200,000 square feet (204,000 m²), the J. L. Hudson Department Store and Addition is the tallest steel framed building and largest single structure ever imploded, and this project took 8 months from the beginning to implosion day. The tallest demolished building( non-explosive demolition) was the 47-story Singer Building in New York City, which was built in 1908 and torn down in 1967-1968 to be replaced by One Liberty Plaza.

Now the actual prep work for both the Twin Towers and WTC 7 would have to have been done in 233 days, there are only a handful of implosion demolition companies out there, and they ALL say 233 days would not be enough time. But for the sake of this discussion, let’s say it is enough time. With the Approximately 50,000people who worked in the Twin Towers, the addition 5,000 more in WTC 7, none of them noticed workers running cables all throughout the buildings and running them to a safe location outside from which to detonate. Let’s say no-one seas the men running the cables, you cannot just lay the explosive anywhere. It must be attached to the support columns at the appropriate places. Now when these high rises are built, these steel risers are usually boxed out so as to not be exposed. So there would have to be a decent amount of demolition to expose the steel risers so the explosives can be properly attached.And yet you expect us to believe that all that occurred without 55,000 plus people seeing any of it take place.

Now Bush would have to recruit people willing to die in order to make the attacks by planes look real. So, He goes out to recruit these 19 people, bring them to the US, and help them plan to take over several planes.So since the majority of these 19 terrorists came to the US during the Clinton administration, Bush would have to now plan make sure he became President. So he set his plan in motion to make sure all the states would vote as they did, and that it would come down to Florida. That way he could count on his brother to secretly punch enough chads to make sure his brother got elected. I do not know about you, but my head is spinning already from all this planning. The 19 hijackers entered the United States a total of 33 times beginning in 1994.They arrived through ten different airports, though more than half came in through Miami, JFK, or Newark. The four pilots passed through INS and Customs inspections a total of 17 times before 9/11.Hanjour came to the United States to attend school in three stints during the 1990s.His final arrival was in December 2000, through the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport.The other three pilots, Atta, al Shehhi, and Jarrah, initially came in May and June 1997.They arrived for the last time between May and August 2001. All 4 pilots took Jet flight training in a flight school in Florida. They took courses on and off for 2 years, but spent the last 6 months prior to the attacks on heavy simulator use. So the plan Bush hatched is coming together. He has recruited his attack crews, he has the demolition prep in full swing, and he rigged the primaries and the election to guarantee he was President when this happened.

Well, the planning cannot stop there. According to the truthers, there were no planes that crashed into the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. So let’s address the Pentagon first. Bush had to get the armed forces to give up a missile, truck it in over the streets of Washington undetected, have it set up, and at the appropriate time, have it launched into the Pentagon. He also had to make arrangements for there to have a plane take-off and disappear.He had to recruit people to give up their lives by getting onto the plane, take off, the pilot had to evade radar and land the plane to be put into hiding. The passengers would then all have to be relocated and start new lives. Including a famous author that was a Cable News commentator and was the wife of the Solicitor General in the Bush administration. Not to mention a close family friend to President Bush. Does one think that a cable news reporter of her caliber would keep silent about such a conspiracy? Do you think she would give up her lucrative career and go into hiding?Bush would have to make the same plans about flight 93. Have it take off, fly off radar and go into hiding with all its passengers that were recruited weeks earlier. Not to mention for added effect, have Todd Beaman call the FAA and talk to them and sign off using the now famous words”let’s roll”.

So let me ask the truthers a question here. I think we can all agree that the person who could co-ordinate this event would be a genius. Do you think President Bush was a genius?

Now getting back to the original hub that sparked this article. The author had to questions that he believes were not answered and therefore the conspiracy exists. So let’s address each one of the authors concerns.

The author is questioning the WTC7 collapse on several levels. What all conspirators want you to concentrate on is the fact the WTC7 did not take a direct hit from the plane so therefore the building fell not because of what is going on around it. So the landing gear found as few blocks away that damaged several buildings did not happen because the plane did not score a direct hit, based on their theory. The Twin Towers when they collapsed did not collapse completely into its footprint. It fell mushroom shaped and spread burning debris for blocks. I always wondered why the truthers question the collapse of WTC7, but say nothing about the Marriot Hotel which also collapses some time later.Some of that debris fell into WTC7. The building burned for over 7 hours. Attempts by the firefighters were no making progress. The biggest problem was there was not enough water or pressure to fight the fire. Now, one can look at a building and swear it is not on fire, yet inside it is burning way out of control. The reason is because the windows get darkened and one cannot see the fire inside. In addition it could be a low oxygen very hot slow burn, sort of like what happens with a wood stove. When one looked at WTC7 one could see some free burn spots where the windows were broken, but where the building was closed up, one could not tell a thing. Despite the efforts, it was obvious the FDNY was not going to be able to save building 7 it was discussed with the building owner Larry Silverstien. He agreed with the battalion Chief that he should take all precautions to protect citizens and the firefighters. Now, despite not being there when this call was made, I am sure the term “pull it’ came up several times.And we all know Silverstien agreed with FDNY and said “pull it”. Now the truthers were quick to point out that “pull it” is a term used in the demolition trade by demolition experts. His is one of the many half truths that conspiracies use to convince those who want to be convinced. “Pull it” is used when they “pull” a building away from another with cables during demolition. I wanted to confirm that to be fact before writing it so I called Advanced Explosives Demolition. I spoke with a gentleman named Mr. Kelley who confirmed “pull it” is only used to pull buildings by cable. Just to be revealing all facts, WTC6 was taken down by cable demolition. But overlooked and I am sure the truthers do not want you to know is that “pull it” is also a term used in the fire service. It is an order given by a Chief or a line officer for the immediate evacuation of a structure that firefighters are currently occupying. The order is generally followed by the trucks on scene to blow their air horns to alert firefighter that do not carry radios that they must evacuate the building. This order is given when an officer believes the building is unsafe or could collapse.

Now before we go further, we should look at the anatomy of a structural collapse from fire. Most commercials buildings and high rises are made of steel. Of course the steel that goes into a 50 story high rise is stronger and beefier than the ones that go into say a Lowes of the local Wal-mart. We know from multiple studies including the latest one from Perdue University that once the steel gets beyond 600 degrees Celsius there can be some major structural problems. The steel begins to move, to twist. That does not mean once a fire reaches 600 degrees the building will collapse, it takes sustained temperatures for a prolonged period of time that will lead to a collapse. Design of the building is also a contributing factor. Flooring is made of concrete supported by steel. At 700 degrees, those floors and trusses begin to sag. The steel beams and floor are all connected to each other and to the exterior of the building. As the steel twists, it does not push out, but it pulls the exterior in. So as the floor sags, steel twisting pulls the exterior of the building inwards, logic dictates when it finally gives out and collapses, the building will collapse into itself or into its footprint.ALL steel building do this whether tall steel building or a simple steel building like a shopping center.Have you ever seen one collapse out?I mentioned the temperature characteristics of steel above for a reason.Temperature of a particular fire has many contributors that help it reach that level For example, a simple match that only burns for a few seconds, can get to an internal temperature of 400 degrees. Add a few factors to that flame like time, wax and a sustainable source, the wick, a candles temperature can reach 700 degrees C.Now a typical room in a house fire is approximately 2,000 degrees C. Now the more rooms involved and depending on the amount of fuel feeding the fire, it can go much higher, possibly doubling in temperature. Commercial building follow around the same temperatures, but again, it depends on what the fuel is. A typical office fire will burn less in temperature than say the fertilizer aisle in Lowes. This leads us to the WTC fires. Depending on reports written, it is estimated that there was anywhere from 10,000 to 28,000 gallons of jet fuel on the planes when they crashed into the Twin Towers.Each gallon emits 180,500 BTUs of heat, putting the interior of those building well over 3,000 degrees C from almost time of impact to collapse. So temperatures over 3,000 degrees C, and steel begins to have structural integrity ay 600 degrees C, how long do you think steel would hold up to that?

The second concern and seems to b a staple in the conspiracy is the claim that a steel building has never collapsed. Now we all know that blanket statement was not true. There have been many commercial steel buildings that have collapsed. Several of those types of collapses have claimed the lives of firefighters. So then the truthers changed their story that no steel high rise buildings have ever collapsed. Well, once more they were wrong and even ignore the event. Before 911 happened, Madrid Spain had a steel high rise fire that had a collapse. It was the worst fire ever in Madrid.

The next point was that the author worked for AA from 1998-2000. The author says that AA would profile people being boarded; AA had good security and is baffled how 19 terrorists got on board. The author speaks of how after 911 the TSA took over with sweeping changes and that the FAA old system was better.Well, I could be wrong, but I am not, I do believe all the planes used in the 911 attack were not AA planes. Security was so lax prior to 911 you could smuggle anything onboard. I know people who had pistols in their carryon bags. Even after 911 and the sweeping changes, we kept learning on ways to improve because of attempts that were made. Bombs in underwear, in socks, in a shoe, in a bottle of water. Security, while not perfect, is strides better today than prior to 911.

The next point once more had to due to the author working at AA. Stating that working for American Airlines and traveling so much you become a custom to certain things. A claim is made that cell phones will not work, are to be turned off until the Captain deems them safe to turn on.While traveling we are told to turn off the cell phone, we also know most do not, I am one of those. Now the author says the phones will not work, he has tried and to trust him. This is why the author doubts the official reports, because of the belief the phones do not work. Well, I am sorry, I can tell you that cell phones work quiet well on any flight I ever took, and I took many, including flights to the Bahamas.Now it may be me, but if terrorists take over the plane, I do not think the captain will be able to make the announcement it is OK to use the phones. And if cell phones do not work, why did so many call home, talk to loved ones, and the ones that could not left messages on answering machines that were made public at a later date. Seems to me I will believe in my prior experiences that cell phones work on planes, and the recordings of those who left messages as further proof the cell phones work. Or was this part of Bush’s conspiracy. Hire a voice impersonator and make calls and leave messages in the voice of that person to make it seem like there was a call from the plane?

The next part was a rehash of planting thermite which we already discussed earlier. It is even harder to apply thermite to steel beams to steel risers without being seen. The author then states”It was reported that people close the building heard multiple explosive go off before the buildings even collapse”.There are fires within a fire scene sometimes. Part of a building can be fully involved, part could be slowly burning until it reaches a certain temperature then a phenomenon call “flash over” occurs, or there can be several rooms or a complete section that so slow burns because it has no oxygen but burns very hot. When oxygen is introduced by any means, another action called “back draft” occurs. When a flashover occurs, it can sound like anything from a passing train to an explosion.Backdrafts always sound like an explosion.I know having been in several of those situations during my career.Sometimes prior to a flashover, but more in a backdraft situation, you can be looking right at a building and not know it is on fire. I am going to include this clip from you tube. I know it’s a house, but it demonstrates the point. Think of it as WTC7, or maybe the interior of the Twin Towers. There does not appear to be much fire, then an explosion.Take note of the order to “pull it” followed by the air horns, and its low, but you can hear the radio transmissions the order to evacuate.

This next clip, you need to get past the first part, they start this with a clip from the movie backdraft, and then you will see some real world actual flashovers and Backdrafts. Unfortunately, the music drowns out the explosion sounds, but I think you would agree when viewing them there was an explosion with each one.

Now the next point of concern I will concede is really strange, it is possible, but really strange. The author finds it odd the passports of 2 of the terrorists were found on the street by the Twin Towers.Like I said, it is possible because some of the luggage was blown clear and found on the street. But it does seem strange.

Now the next concern is about Dick Cheney. The author believes Cheney is the biggest war criminal since Hitler. This is based on the author’s belief that Cheney ordered the interceptor planes to stand down. Now I will not nor do I know because it was never mentioned in any report by any commission who actually gave the order to stand down. After all was secure, the authorization given by President Bush to shoot down civilian airliners if need be would have to be stood down. Perhaps that is what the truthers are trying to make a mountain of. But the author included a clip from Norman Minetta’s testimony in front of the 911 commission. Nowhere In the entire clip does it ever mention anything about a stand down order of any kind.I will include it here for everyone to listen to.

Now the next part is comical. The author claims we had planned to attack Afghanistan long before September 11, and that other nations were interested in participating. Russia, Israel Even Iran was mentioned as countries that were going to join in with us. First let me say, we have on record plans to defend ourselves against every country. This is part of what the DOD does. The run simulations and formulate responses to different scenarios. Ever wonder why we would do joint military operations with South Korea? It is to prepare for certain actions and our reactions to movements from North Korea.Just because we have those plans does not mean we are going to attack North Korea.And now the comical part, can you ever think of a scenario Iran would be our ally?

Another concern the author has is the belief the unidentified insiders made millions in the stock market due to the impact of American Airlines and United Airlines and various other companies that were impacted by the events. The belief is they put Option on those two stocks that investors knew the stocks were going to plunge that day. Well the obvious is that no one made or lost a penny that day as the markets were closed and did not open until 9-17-2001. The market that day lost less than it did in the black Monday the prior October. AA and UA both lost about 40% of their value on 9-17, but began to slowly recover as the stocks went slowly up. The stocks were slow movers on fears of large lawsuits from the families of the passengers. Prior to and after 911, airline stocks were volatile. During the time period prior to 911 Airline stacks were not doing well. The quarterly earnings reports were due out. AA was going to announce very disappointing numbers. So it was expected to take a dive. I am sure the stack took a bigger hit because of 911, but a loss was coming no matter what.

Lastly the author’s biggest Question was yet to be answered, Why the United States government was so easily penetrated by 19 individuals with no real flight training experience and carry out the biggest attack on our nation history?Actually, that is a good question.

I have no illusions, the ones who think Bush did it; will continue for it is all driven by hatred. Those that want to believe in conspiracies will continue to. Many are firm in their beliefs; some will just follow anyone or believe anything written. Does not matter that the majority who preach the conspiracy are just college professors with no expertise in anything relevant, though they try to convince you otherwise. They got out of the classroom and onto the lucrative lecture tour. But as time went on, the lectures got smaller to non existence, so they have returned to the classroom.There are those that will go on believing the 1600 plus architects and engineers of the Guild’s endless reports not realizing the Guild they cite only has 449 members. Nor once read, most are based on opinion, not scientific or firematic science. There will never be a meeting of the minds on this subject. It’s the Hatfield’s and the McCoy’s of modern times
